Do you need a trekking Guide in Manaslu Circuit Trek?

For trekking on this beautiful route, you are not allowed to trek solo. If you are planning to trek in the Manaslu region without any guide with you then you are not permitted to enter this region because of its rural. It is compulsory to take a licensed guide before embarking on this trek with you it is just because this region is under a restricted area. Almost 15 areas of Nepal are restricted where you can’t trek solo nor can you trek without any guide and porter.

This is just because when you travel with a guide it makes your journey a little less busy for you and also helps in a difficult way and the way of the Himalayan part of Nepal is not so easy to do. The trekking guide is to save trekkers from potential risks they may face during the time Himalayan trekking. Trekking this route is one of the most popular trekking routes in Nepal where you will get a chance to know about the culture and traditions of this route.

How hard is Manaslu Circuit Trek?

If you are eager to know how hard the Manaslu Circuit trek then the difficulty level of this route is moderate to strenuous where you need to walk at least 8 to 8 hours per day. This beautiful trekking consists of many ups and downs and only the altitude gain makes it difficult. Trekking en route is a challenging trek just because of the Larkya La Pass which has to be crossed during this trekking period. There are lots of difficulties that may face during this trekking day. The main difficulty while trekking this route is altitude sickness. It is obvious to have altitude sickness while trekking in the high Himalayan land. Trekking on this route is one of the best off-the-beaten treks in Nepal that takes you through remote villages and lush green forests. Trekking in the high Himalayans of Nepal is difficult to trek.

Permit for Manaslu Circuit Trek

Manaslu region is one of the restricted trekking routes of Nepal. If you are planning for trekking in Manaslu Circuit Trek then you must know about the special trekking permit which you must carry before entering this route. While trekking on this route, you need almost three trekking permits a special trekking permit, Manaslu Conservation Area permit, and Annapurna Conservation Area permit. These trekking permits are for the protection of this region’s culture, tradition, flora, and fauna which are found in this wonderful land. You may have questions about why you need special trekking while trekking on this route then this trekking is one of the restricted trekking routes 15 restricted trekking route.

For trekking on this route, you need to obtain a special trekking permit and the special trekking permit cost for this region is based on the season. And the cost of this special trekking permit is equal for every trekker. The cost of a special trekking permit is USD in the Spring season February to August 70 for seven days Per day USD 10 Per Person. September to November USD 100 Per Person for 7 Days and USD 15 Per day. For Manaslu Conservation Area permit a foreigner needs to pay USD 30 per person and for SAARC countries trekkers need to pay USD 1 per person the price of the Annapurna conservation area is the same as the Manaslu Conservation area permit. A trekking permit is easily available in Kathmandu valley and to obtain a trekking permit you need two passport-sized photos and a photocopy of your passport.

Are single trekkers is possible to trek in Manaslu Circuit Trek?

No, it is not possible for a single trekker to trek in the Manaslu circuit Trek. It is just because this trekking is one of the restricted trekking routes. According to the rules of the local government of the Manaslu region, solo trekkers are not allowed to trek in this and if you are planning to trek this route then you need at least two people for trekking in this route so before embarking on this route you must have two people with Nepal Government License holder Trekking Guide.

DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU (1,400M)

Arrival in Kathmandu, The representatives of Everest Trekking Routes will welcome you at TIA Upon your Arrival. We transfer to a hotel overnight stay.

DAY 02: EXPLORE DAY IN KATHMANDU AND PREPARATION SPECIAL PERMIT

If interest after breakfast visit some Sightseeing points and get Manaslu Special Permit to take an Orginal Passport with Nepal Visa. It takes a day and Explores Kathmandu Valley and stays overnight at the hotel.

DAY 03: KATHMANDU TO SOTIKHOLA [930m / 3051 ft]: 6 – 7 HRS

After a delicious breakfast from Kathmandu to Dhading to Arughat to Sotikhola 141 k.m. Once you begin the trip ahead to Soti Khola, you may be impressed and allured by the wonderful waterfall and rivulet. Continue the journey through the dense and beautiful Sal Forest and then climb the vertical ridge over the Budhi Gandaki River. The trail then after traces small villages: Beautiful Tropical village and evergreen rice farm with amazing Manaslu Himal and Ganesh Himal. Which is spectacular viewing on the trail. After a long drive stays overnight at Sotikhola.

DAY 04: SOTI KHOLA TO MACHHA KHOLA [1340 m /4396 ft]: 6 -7 HOURS

After breakfast trek to Machhakhola, a beautiful morning walk with an evergreen rice farm and several small villages crossing after that reach Lapu Besi Gurung village and take lunch. the trails are more traffic in October and November which is the top-rating Manaslu Circuit trek and also March and April also busier. rest of the month is normal. stay overnight at Lodge

DAY 05: MACHHA KHOLA -JAGAT [1410M/ 4625 FT]: 6 – 7 HRS

After spending one night in Machha Khola we will trek to Jagat. The trek from Machha Khola to Jagat leads along the Buri Gandaki River upriver reaching another small village at Khorla Beshi. Then we walk on the natural hot water called Tato Pani. After having breakfast in Yaruphant villages we will follow the Budi Gandaki River and cross the Jagat village and stay overnight at Jagat.

DAY 06: JAGAT – FILIM [1600M] 6 HOURS

After breakfast, we are entering the Manaslu Restricted area and the Manaslu Conservation Area of the Project. Jagat is also the biggest Gurung trail in the Manaslu Region. Then trek to Philim which is the north rural area second headquarter of Gorkha stay overnight at the lodge.

DAY 07: PHILIM – DENG [1,804M/5917 FT]: 6 – 7 HRS

After spending one night in Jagat village we slowly start our trek to Deng passing a lot of small villages to Sidibas bazaar. After crossing the small villages and the small rivers then up the rocky rooftree through bamboo forest and have to climb an hour then we will reach Deng and we will stay overnight at lodge.

DAY 08: DENG – NAMRUNG: [2630M/8626FT]: 6 – 7 HRS

After spending one night in Deng we slowly start our trek to Namrung passing through the many villages like Ghap and others and we will walk leading through Budi Gandaki and the lots of small villages with the cultivated field of millets, wheat, or barely from then, we will reach Namrung village. And we will stay one night at the lodge.

DAY 09: NAMRUNG – SAMAGAON [3530M/11,578 FT]: 6-7 HOURS

After spending one night in Namrung we slowly start our trek to Samagaon enjoying the beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and mountain views. The path leads you to the Phungen Glacier for a couple of hours and then we will reach Samagaon with the interesting highland village. We will stay overnight at the lodge.

DAY 10: REST DAY SAMAGAUN

Our team of proper Acclimatization day at Samagaun visited the lake and local village with the beautiful 8th highest peak in the world. The same again is origin villages and local culture stay overnight at lodge.

DAY 11: SAMAGAON – SAMDO [3860M/12,660 FT]: 4 – 5 HOURS

After having a wonderful time and spending one night in Samagaon then our trekking begins in Samdo. On the way, to Samdo we get an opportunity to see the awesome views of the mountain and awesome scenery across the Tibet trader and yak carrying Chinese and Tibetan goods walking continuation following the stream crossing to reach Samdo and we will stay one night in Samdo.

DAY 12: SAMDO – DHARAMSALA/LARKYA B. C. [4460M/14, 628 FT]: 4 – 5 HOURS

After having a wonderful time and spending a night in Samdo we will start our trekking Dharamsala/Larkya B. C. in the morning time we walk follows the glacier and then we cross the stream coming from Gya la from there we will reach Larkya Bazaar and from this place few hour walking we will reach Dharamsala. We will stay overnight in Dharamsala.

DAY 13: DHARAMSALA – LARKYA LA [5160M] – BIMTHANG [3720M]: 8 – 9 HOURS

After spending one night and having a wonderful time in Dharamsala we will start our trekking Larkya la. After reaching Larkya la we will see the awesome views of mountains and beautiful scenery and after seeing the awesome views we will again start our journey to Bimthang. And we will stay one night in Bimthang.
Trek time: 8-9 hour Manaslu Larke la pass 5150m.

DAY 14: BIMTHANG – GHO [2515M]: 5 – 6 HOURS

After having a wonderful time and spending one night in Bimthang we will again start our trekking to Gho. On the way, we get an opportunity to see awesome views of this region and you will agree that Nepal is god gifted in natural resources. After reaching gho we take a rest and spend one night in this place.

DAY 15: GHO – DHARAPNI [1940M] 5 HOURS

After having a wonderful time and spending one night in Dharani we will slowly start our trekking to Tal. And after reaching this place we will observe many things in this place and in this place we will take a rest and spend one night in this place.

DAY 16: DHARPANI – BESHISAHAR – KATHMANDU EXPRESS BUS 8-9 HOURS

After completing our happy journey Mt Manaslu Circuit and take breakfast and then continue to drive to Kathmandu by Express bus and Local sharing stay overnight in Kathmandu.

DAY 17: FINAL INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE

We will drop you to the TIA for your final departure and happy journey to your hometown, hope to see you again and goodbye.

Annapurna Circuit Trek with Rabin Gurung

It was a trip we will always remember and be proud of. You need not worry about anything since Dhan (Sameer Gurung) and their group will arrange everything (i.e. Hotel, Food, transportation, a plane ticket to Lukla, etc.). The trekking was long and arduous yet our guide was very accommodating and conscious of us. He knows the place very well and will gladly tell you stories about it along the way. The whole trek was truly breathtaking. You won’t regret this trip! (Note: Try to reach viewing deck areas before sunrise and watch as the sun makes everything look spectacular!☺)
