Trip Overview

Short Manaslu Circuit Trek is pristine and ideal for trekkers who prefer to navigate across picturesque terrains far away from the horde of other people. It is an exciting and marvelous adventure with a well-planned trek where you will soak in the beautiful scenery of high green hills. This circuit trek is considerably getting its popularity among adventure trekkers. Trekking to this route is ever higher than upper Nubri which is purely Tibetan culture and traditions. This is a perfect trail for any trekkers who prefer fewer crowds while hiking and are bound with time-fame. The trekking route offers superb views of the world’s 8th mountain which is Mt Manaslu 8163m from sea level. And also get the views of mountain-likes Ganesh Himal, Siringi Himal, Himalchuli, and many more.

Short Manaslu Circuit Trek is highly enriched with amazing natural sceneries, an inspiring lifestyle, and noticeable culture and traditions. This trek is perfect for those trekkers who wish to experience a wonderful time in the Himalayas but have a limited vacation. It is far less crowded than other treks in Nepal which is an ideal trek with the wonderful trekking experience into the Manaslu region. This is one of the best off-the-beaten-path short trekking regions of Nepal. Trekking on this route also offers an opportunity to witness biological and geographical diversity. The trail takes us through a rich forest full of rhododendron, pine, birch, and juniper trees and delightful meadows.

Short Manaslu Circuit Trek is the best choice for trekker seeker adventure and the trek is a moderately difficult trek. The trek will take you through several rivers, and waterfalls, and also let you witness the adorable mountain vistas. It is a great choice for the adventure circuit trek which offers a notion of complete peace while traversing through isolated foothills and terrains, localities, grassy meadows, and vistas. The natural setting is embellished by sheer mountains, tranquil lakes, towering waterfalls, and lush greenery which is one of the finest with snowy ridges, and ice cliffs. It is a great option if you are looking for an authentic, wilder, and true remote region trekking in Nepal. The trekking trail is a difficult trek compared to the population trekking of Nepal which is an exotic adventure full of excitement.

The route of the Manaslu trek is challenging and lets you visit more remote villages on your way and the trek is difficult mostly depending on one physical condition. There is a lot more to offer but along with the exotic adventures comes the circuit trek difficulties. The various factors affect the difficulty of the Manaslu trek which include weather conditions, harsh terrains, accommodations facilities, food facilities, remote landscape, and others. While talking about the difficulty level then it is strenuous grade somehow it is difficult for the beginner trekkers. The trail provides a great view but equal challenges with steep stairs and crags and this trek difficulty also occur due to weather.

The tea houses and lodges are run by the local settlers so every trekker can experience local hospitality and feel the emotions of home away from home. There are so many tea houses is opened nowadays on this route and this trekking route is one of the busiest trekking routes all over Nepal. For accommodation on this beautiful route, we will have tea houses or lodges ad it is called Bhatti in the Nepali language which is run by the locals. The tea houses are comfortable with two single beds in a room with a pillow, mattress, sheet, and blanket. The ethnic group of people will operate the tea houses or lodges for trekkers with basic facilities. At the lower altitude, you will get all the types of food but at the higher altitude, only typical Nepalese food will serve.

Accommodation on this route is very basic with limited options while trekking in Nepal where you must book the hotel in advance before embarking on this Himalayan land. At a higher altitude, you have to share your room with your friends and also share a bathroom with other groups because the bathroom is common for all trekkers. A single room is provided if there is a single female trekker in the group. If you want a private room then you have to extra fee for it. Some of the tea houses provide you with delicious food with wonderful views of the mountain with beautiful landscapes. For food, you will not have all the choices that you would get in a large city. You have to eat breakfast and dinner in the same tea houses or lodges where you will spend overnight and for lunch, it will be on the way.

All over Nepal, there is almost 15 restricted trekking route and from them, the Manaslu circuit trek is one where we have to take a special trekking permit before embarking on the route. Permits for trekking in Nepal are very much essential and have taken every trekker before starting trekking on every route. It is a newly off-the-beaten trail for that trekker who prefers to be in the Manaslu region to explore its exotic nature and culture. While trekking in the restricted area of Manaslu first of all you must authorize by the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu. Before embarking on the Manaslu circuit trek, you must have three trekking permits like

  • Special Restricted Manaslu permit
  • Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP)
  • Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP)

The trekking permit is to make sure for the protection of wild animals, vegetation, and culture of this area. While trekking on this route, you must have at least two trekkers with a trekking guide with you. A single trekker is not allowed to enter this route.

Manaslu region is home to a unique culture and traditions of Bhote, Gurung people who are highly influenced by the Tibetan lifestyle. And walking independently on the rugged trail might provide fun and enjoyment but you also need to know about the risk while traveling alone has so many risks. Among the 15 restricted areas Manaslu region is one of them where you can’t go solo trek. The beautiful area of the Manaslu region like the Tsum valley, Larkyla pass, Manaslu Base Camp, and other 6 VDC borders with Tibet, and all these areas are restricted by the government so it is impossible for solo trekkers in this land. Not only that you must take one Local Trekking Guide with have had you before embarking on this beautiful route.

Annapurna Circuit Trek with Rabin Gurung

It was a trip we will always remember and be proud of. You need not worry about anything since Dhan (Sameer Gurung) and their group will arrange everything (i.e. Hotel, Food, transportation, a plane ticket to Lukla, etc.). The trekking was long and arduous yet our guide was very accommodating and conscious of us. He knows the place very well and will gladly tell you stories about it along the way. The whole trek was truly breathtaking. You won’t regret this trip! (Note: Try to reach viewing deck areas before sunrise and watch as the sun makes everything look spectacular!☺)

Annapurna Circuit Trek with Dhansingh Gurung

Dhansingh guided me on compressed Annapurna Circuit trek late last year and the experience far exceeded my expectations. Having someone who knew the route, language, local culture, weather conditions and wildlife intimately enabled me to relax and get the most from my trip. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt extremely well looked after and safe from the moment I arrived in Nepal right up until I left. I couldn’t recommend more highly, very professional service.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Dhansingh

We had a wonderful time on our trek. We did the 8 day ABC trek. The route is beautiful with lots of stunning vistas. Our guide Dhansingh was knowledgable and friendly and really looked after us. I would be happy to recommend this tour to anyone thinking of tackling ABC.

Everest Gokyo & Renjola Pass with Dhansigh

I first met Dhansingh in May of 2016 when we completed the Renjo La pass. I’ve now returned this summer of ’17 to explore with Dhansingh some areas of Annapurna. Dhansingh’s competency is the first rate, and he a very pleasant person with whom to spend time. I highly recommend Everest Trekking Routes.
