Ampu Lapcha Pass Trek
Ampu Lapcha Pass Trek is one of this touristic area’s most challenging trekking route with high passes in the Arun Valley and Khumbu region. This trekking route is situated on the Everest region. This trekking trail is not only for the high Himalaya summits but also famous for historical sites i.e. monasteries and temples of an old, still unspoiled civilization that attracts tourists of high mountains and the trekker who wants to climb the trail.

This trek also includes the Chukkung Valley which requires trekkers to have technical climbing experience are skilled in using technical mountaineering climbing equipment.
This trekking route is very interesting for all trekkers who love mountains. It is via Mera -la and crosses the pass of Amphu Lapcha through Seto Pokhari and arrives in the Everest region of Chukkung behind Island Peak and in front of Ama Dablam. This trek has all the characteristic features of a classic expedition.
Ampu Lapcha Pass Trek starts in the sub tropics and reaches heights of over 5000m above sea level. In this trekking route we will explore villages like, Chutanga, Kotte, Thangnak, Khare, Tengboche, Chhukung and Namche Bazaar adding extra flavor in the journey. It offers views of mountains such as Makalu, Ama Dablam,Island Peak, Mera Peak, Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptsche and many more. It will lead us through barren, uninhabited areas, over glaciers and snow-covered mountain-passes and the generous itinerary ensures proper acclimatization and allows extra days in the event of inclement weather. It offers you the view of Mt. Lhotse from Island Peak which astonishes you and is crossed by the mountaineer’s route for the Island Peak or Baruntse expeditions. the trekking route is more harder then other trekking area of Nepal.
Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley prepare trip.
Day 03: Kathmandu flies to Lukla (2800m.)
Day 04: Lukla – Chutanga (2835m.) 4 hours.
Day 05: Chutanga – Chhatra La (4155m.) 5 – 7hrs.
Day 06: Chhatra La – Kothe (3555m). 5 – 6hrs.
Day 07: Kothe – Thagnag (4175m.) 6 – 7hrs.
Day 08: Thagnag – Khare (Mera Base Camp 4690m.) 4 hours
Day 09: Climbing preperation day
Day 10: Mera base camp- high camp (5800m) 4 hours
Day 11: Mera Peak (6654m.) climbing period. 8 hours
Day 12: Extra day for Mera summit if you couldn't make it in 1st attempt.
Day 13: Trek to Honku Valley (4700m) 6 hour
Day 14: Trek to Panch Pokhari (4600m) 7 hour
Day 15: Trek to Amphu Lapcha Base Camp (5000m) 7 hours
Day 16: Trek to Chhukung after crossing Amphu Lapcha pass Imja Lake (5845m) 9-10 hour
Day 17: Trek to Tengboche (3800m) 6 hours
Day 18: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 5 hours
Day 19: Trek to Lukla (2800m) 6 hours
Day 20: Fly back to Kathmandu 30 minute
Day 21: Final International Departure
