Ganesh Himal Trek

Ganesh Himal Trek & Pang Pass Same Route

Ganesh Himal Trek area lies in the Langtang region of Nepal offering spectacular views, untouched, natural, wild splendor and friendly inhabitants. Many interesting ethnic groups with a mixed lifestyle offer you a glimpse into real Nepali life. The biggest attraction of this trekking route is that you can see different communities with the majority being Tamang, Chhetri, Brahman, and Tibetan. This trek can clearly be seen from the Kathmandu valley and is named after the elephant-headed God of Good Fortune – Ganesh. The terraced hillsides seem to climb to the sky and this gives trekkers an opportunity to observe the Nepalese culture, traditions from the closest quarter and intermingle with locals. This is a very scenic trek that leads you through Tamang Villages and dense forests with gorgeous Himalayan flora and fauna and the great Himalayan landscape. The Ganesh Himal trek leads you at one of the popular trekking areas, Langtang, which is north of Kathmandu. Here trekkers enjoy being far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Ganesh Himal Trek, Gorkha is situated on a hill overlooking the snowy peaks of the Himalaya and is a beautiful old ancient place. Langtang is a narrow valley that is just south of the Tibetan border. On the first evening, our Guide gives a short lesson of trekking when they explain why you are trekking in this region and what you are going to explore and discover on this trek. They will also explain about altitude sickness and all the beautiful spots from where you can see excellent views of mountains.

Trekking here is possible at any time of the year depending on where you are going for the trek, the most popular seasons are spring (March-April – May) and autumn (September-October – November). During the monsoon season (June-July -August) you can trek in the rain-shadow areas north of the Himalayan like Upper Mustang, Upper Dolpo, and Tibet.

This trip is organized by Everest Trekking Routes who have over 20 years’ experience in Trekking, Tours, Peak Climbing and many others activities in Nepal.
