Manaslu Circuit Trekking Map

Day 1: Kathmandu to Machha Khola (730 m)

The total road distance between Kathmandu and Machha Khola is about 160 kilometers. It includes the bumpy section of Aarughat to Machha Khola via Aarkhet and Soti villages. Approximately, travelers have to do the road trip for about 7 to 8 hours.

Day 2: Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1340 m)

The trail traverses through Khorlabeshi and Dovan villages before reaching the Jagat Village. The distance between Machha Khola and Jagat is about 20 kilometers and it requires about 6 to 7 hours of walking!

Day 3: Trek from Jagat to Pewa (1870 m)

The total kilometers between Jagat and Pewa village are 18 kilometers. It takes about 6 to 7 hours of trekking to reach Pewa from Jagat. Some trekkers may also trek further 2 kilometers to reach Deng or Dyang village.

Day 4: Trek from Pewa to Namrung (2660 m)

The trail traverses through Deng and terraced farmlands to Namrung village. The distance between Pewa and Namrung village is about 19 kilometers and it takes about 6 to 7 hours.

Day 5: Trek from Namrung to Lho Village (2915 m)

The total distance between Namrung village and Lho village is about 14 kilometers and it takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete this section of the trail.

Day 6: Trek from Lho to Samagaon (3540 m)

It takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete the 14 kilometers distance between Lho Village and Samagaon.

Day 7: Acclimatization Trek to Manaslu Base Camp (4800 m) via Birendra Lake

Today is the long day of trekking. Trekkers have to trek about 20 to 24 kilometers in total including the return trek to Samagaon. The distance between Samagaon and Birendra Lake is about 3 kilometers and the distance between Manaslu Base Camp and Samagaon is about 12 kilometers! It takes about 8 to 9 hours to complete the trail.

Day 8: Trek from Samagaon to Samdo (3860 m)

The distance between Samagaon and Samdo village is about 16.5 kilometers. As we cross the Budi Gandaki River, the village of Samdo is reached which is beautifully located in the narrow valley overlooking splendid mountains. It takes about 5 to 6 hours to complete the trail between these villages.

Day 9: Trek from Samdo to Dharmasala (4480 m)

The shortest section on the Manaslu Circuit Trek Map is the Samdo to Dharmasala section. It is about 6.5 kilometers and takes about 3 to 4 hours to complete the course.

Day 10: Crossing Larke La Pass (5106 m) and Trek to Bimthang (3750 m)

The most crucial day of the trekking is today. Trekkers have to cross the Larke La Pass (5106 m) and trek downhill to Bimthang Village. The total distance between Dharmasala and Bimthang village is about 16 kilometers. It takes about 8 to 9 hours to cross the Larke La Pass and reach Bimthang village.

Day 11: Trek from Bimthang to Tilje (2550 m)

The total distance between Bimthang and Tilje village is about 20 kilometers and it takes about 5 to 6 hours of trekking to cover the distance.

Day 12: Drive from Tilje to Kathmandu via Besisahar

It takes about 10 hours of bus or jeep journey from Tilje to Kathmandu via Besisahar.

However, you can also get the local bus to reach Machha Khola. It is not highly recommended for the trekkers! You can get jeep in Tilje village to travel to Besisahar. Choose either bus or jeep to reach Kathmandu from Besisahar. There is no option of bus in Tilje. So, jeep is the only option!
