Kwangde Peak Climbing

Kwangde Peak Climbing is a popular trekking peak in khumbu region which is also known as the Kongde Ri and Kwangde dominates the south-west of Namche village the gateway to Everest. This peak climbing combine with the remote approach walk through unspool alpine terrain and you have the essence of this challenging climb. This peak climbing is one of the most challenging peaks and technically a difficult peak climbing climbing of the Khumbu region. The trail takes us all the way through the Khumbu region passing beautiful rhododendron forests, famous monasteries yak pasture lands, beautiful mountains, and rugged topography towards the Namche bazaar.  This peak climbing is situated just above this famous Sherpa village which is the gate way to Khumbu region. The northern part of the mountain forms an impressive barrier having several steep ridges to the north which is climbed from a base camp in the rarely visited Lumding Valley, makes an excellent trekking peak objective and also provides a simply fantastic vantage point.

Kwangde Peak Climbing which gives a trekking-peak permit is sufficient. This peak climbing is secreted at the Northern part up to the Lumding Drangka that stands at high and remote valley surrounded by the tumbling glaciers of Khartang (6853m/ 22484ft), Numbur (6959m/ 22831ft), karyolung (6511m/21361ft). This peak climbing starts after we take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport and start trekking towards Phakding. This peak climbing has been open for climbing which have numerous mountaineers successfully climbed in this peak.  This peak offers views of the Rolwaling, Cho Oyu, Everest and Ama Dablam regions. This peak climbing is designed to allow steady climb and proper acclimatization by our team of climbing exports. The best time for this peak climbing is autumn and spring season.

Outline itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Katmandu ETR Member will meet you at the airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Full Sight Seeing in Kathmandu and Preparation EBC via Island Peak Climbing
Day 03: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 40 minutes flight; 8km, 3 – 4 hours trek
Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 11km, 5 – 6 hours
Day 05: Acclimatization Explore day visit to Everest View hotel
Day 05: Trek to Thame (3,950m), 5 hour
Day 06: Trek to Kwangde Base Camp (4,700m), 6/7 hours
Day 07: Climb up to High Camp (5,200m), 6 hours
Day 08: Summit Day (6,011m), back to Base Camp, 10 hours
Day 09: Contingency Day, Overnight in Camp (5300m) 7 hours
Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazzar, (3440) 6 hours
Day 12:  Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft): 6-7 hours
Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Arrival in Kathmandu, The representatives by Everest Trekking Routes will welcome to you at TIA Upon your Arrival. We transfer to hotel overnight stay.

Day 02: Full day Sight Seeing Kathmandu Valley

After the breakfast, we spend the whole day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley as major point. One of the biggest Stupa in the world, Bouddhanath stupa and Monastry, Old heritage Buddhist temple Soyembhunath and Monastry, Kathmandu Durbar Squer Kumari temple and Patan Durbar Squar krishna temple. The kathmandu sightseeing is real Nepalese traditional culture and heritage touring, After tour will back to hotel and preparation the Everest Camp Trek Trip overnight stay hotel.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 40 minutes flight; 8km, 3 – 4 hours trek

Our Guide will transfer to Domestic airport and short lukla flight 30 minute and introduce our local mountain porters. Kick of your beautiful trek through larges village chourikharka and demented towards Dudhkoshi River and continue to Phakding (2652m. 8700ft.) we will have staying acclimatization stay overnight at lodge.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 11km, 5 – 6 hours

After hot breakfast trek to Namche Bazaar, the biggest village of khumbu region, which is most popular Himalayan city Touristic area same as Kathmandu and Pokhara. Trekking toward to Monjo Entering Sagarmath National Park and Trekkers Information Management System Main Gate. Flow up Dudhkoshi River and crossing highest double substance bridge bottom of the Namche. If have change to see mt. everest on trail and continue to Namche. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Acclimatization Day – Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft)

Today Explore and Acclimatization day, after breakfast visit to Sherpa Museum which is popular by khumbu region about the Sherpa culture and history and will have hike to top of the Everest view point take cup of tea or coffee at Everest View lodge. If weather is perfect then will see Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Island Peak, Amadablam and Many Others Trekking peak.  When we return from Everest View point visit to Khumjung Village and Admon Hillary high school take lunch and back to Namche, Little sightseeing stay overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Trek to Thame (3,950m), 5 hour

After breakfast trek to Thame takes 4-5 hours, amazing kwande peak and rolwaling himal white scenery follow the north side route which is return from Gokyo Lake to Renjo La pass. Evergreen wild forest and pass to several Sherpa village, after reach at Thame take little rest and visit to Thame Old monastery and stay overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Trek to Kwangde Base Camp (4,700m), 6/7 hours

After breakfast continue to Kwande base camp circuit path which and tiny trail. In winter very difficult to trek kwande base camp. But view is perfect East part of Mt. Everest and Many Others Himalaya views with Cold night and stay overnight at Camp side.

Day 07: Climb up to High Camp (5,200m), 4 hours

After breakfast trek to high camp it is tough route and challenging area of Kwande peak. When we reach at high camp, our climbing Sherpa will basic train for how to climbing, stay overnight at lodge.

Day 08: Summit Day (6,011m), back to Base Camp, 10 hours

Early morning take breakfast round at 12:00 AM and start at 1:00 AM to Summit it is tough day takes more than 10 hours depend on weather and timing. The view is Spectacular from high camp to summit and ice area most care all team and be strong return to Base Camp stay overnight at Campsite.

Day 09: Contingency Day, Overnight in Camp (5300m) 7 hours

It is depend on weathers if incased anything happen and will try again otherwise return to campsite.

Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazzar, (3440) 6 hours

After breakfast continue to Descend to Dhudkoshi River then climb up to namche takes around 6 hour and into beautiful forest and visit to Namche Bazaar.

Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft): 19km, 6 – 7 hours

After breakfast same way to return lukla, easy downhill but more traffic yak, Jhopkyo, Porters toward to manjo.  Before lukla take light lunch and continue to lukla, finaly we will complete our trip and warm up with all team to say good bye for local porters waiting for flight to Kathmandu stay overnight at lodge.

Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu (30 Minute) Explore and shopping

After breakfast we short walk to airport and waiting for flight. Because some time very hard to get flight and lots of people waiting. We must reservation for flight before our trip. When we arrived in Kathmandu explore and shopping souvenir to your family.

Day 14: Final International departure

We will drop you to the TIA for your final departure and happy journey your hometown, hope to see you again and good bye.
