This trip is down one of the famous rafting rivers around the Himalayas, the Kali Gandaki start sin Mustang, an enclave of Nepal poking into Tibet on the other side of the Himalayas. It is a flat, braided river which is flowing in an arid open valley, it is named after the Goddess (KALI) where it begins high on the Tibetan plateau in Mustang and cuts through some of the deepest gorges in the world between Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Annapurna (8091m).
Kaligandaki River Rafting is also a fun way to see transport yourself down this river. It is a friendly river for intermediate kayakers and a super fun play river for the experienced kayaker who will feel completely at home exhausting themselves playboating in the many holes and surf waves that abound on the river.

The river put-in point is at the Modi Khola confluence and put out point is at Mirmi where the Aadhi Khola Hydropower Project Dam has been built. After your exhilarating white water trip you have options to either drive or fly back to Kathmandu or to visit the Royal Chitwan National Park.
The best season for this river rafting is Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec, Mar, April and May.
