Dhaulagiri Round Trek is Moderate Pass Adventure

Dhaulagiri Round Trek is one of the most challenging routes of this region.  This trekking route is a demanding trail that has a status of being precious and rough around the edges. This trekking route is taken up on an off beaten trail that goes around Mt. Dhaulagiri which is the seventh highest mountain in the world. This trekking route lies north – west of Pokhara culminating to its highest point at the eastern end. This trekking route is dedicated to the adventurous hearts and for the climbing teams. This trekking route gives us remarkable massive mountain views of the Dhaulagiri. The trek begins in a forested and terraced hilly area that is predominantly dominated by the Magar community. This trekking route offers exciting scenery in this area. this trip you can have real experience of challenging walk along an icy track. This trekking is an extremely remote hanging valley which gives you a more of an expedition feel when you cross it.

Dhaulagiri Round Trek start pokhara to beni, Everest Trekking Routes every season departure and experienced Trekking guide and porters which is train by local motherland. This trek is to the west of the Annapurna and starts from Pokhara and follows the Myagdi Khola to its source at the Chhonbardan Glacier just below Dhaulagiri. This trekking route is an adventure which encounters exceedingly beautiful Hidden Valley allows the trekkers to literally touch the majestic mountain Dhaulagiri. The woody wilderness and the continual bird chirping make the tips awesome. This trekking route is one of the amazing but it is quite difficult for the trekking adventure because of its circuit and joining to Annapurna circuit trek. The trek ends here as you will take a flight here for Kathmandu rather than trekking back to Pokhara.

Day 09: Trek to Dobang (2250m) 7 hours
Day 10: Trek to Italian Base Camp (3800m) 6 hour
Day 11: Rest day Acclimatization
Day 12: Trek to “Midway Camp” (4500m) 7 hour

Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Arrival in Kathmandu, The representatives by Everest Trekking Routes will welcome to you at TIA Upon your Arrival. We transfer to hotel overnight stay.

Day 02: Full day Sight Seeing Kathmandu Valley

After the breakfast, we spend the whole day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley as major point. One of the biggest Stupa in the world, Bouddhanath stupa and Monastry, Old heritage Buddhist temple Soyembhunath and Monastry, Kathmandu Durbar Squer Kumari temple and Patan Durbar Squar krishna temple. The kathmandu sightseeing is real Nepalese traditional culture and heritage touring. After tour will back to hotel and preparation the Dhaulagiri Round trip overnight stay hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara by Tourist Bus/ Car or by flight

After having your breakfast if you want from the flight then, we will drive you to the Domestic Airport to take a 25 minutes flight to Pokhara. During the short flight, you will gallant views of glorious Manaslu Peaks and the snow capped Annapurna and Langtang Himalaya range or you also went from the tourist bus to pokhara about 6-7 hours driven rife Prithivi Highway. After reach in the pokhara you can also explore the local places and their culture.

Day 04: Drive to Beni and start Trek (850m)

After breakfast, we drive from Pokhara to Beni, from where our trek commences. The drive should take around 4 hours and it offers good scenic views. Beni is at the confluence of the Myagdi Khola and the Kali Gandaki Camp. Being the districts headquarter, Beni has a police check post where our trekking permits and visits to beni city stay overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Trek to Singa Bazar (853m) 6 hour

After breakfast trek to Singa, we have to follow up Myagdi khola toward some little village, the beginning day is easy and normal it takes around 6 hour to reach Singa stay overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Trek to Takum (1200m) 6 hour

After Breakfast trek to Takum is tropical village and general along the trail, time to be little more experienced second day stay overnight at lodge.

Day 07: Trek to Muri (1,850m) 6 hours

After breakfast we will continue trek to Muri, the trail starts climbing. The trail again climbs steeply up to Muri at 1850 m. moving up along the trail, we trek to Sibang and Mattim. From here, continuing up an incline to the snout of a ridge, we descend to the Gatti Khola and reach Phalai Gaon (1810m). We then cross the Dhara Khola to again emerge on the west bank of the Myagdi Khola. We are nearly reaching to our destination stay overnight at lodge.

Day 08: Trek to Boghara (2080 m) 7 hours

After breakfast we trek to Boghara, the part of rice terrace and natural beauty with slide of climbing a ridge, we reach the pass from where we can see Mt. Ghustung South (6465 m). Descending to the Myagdi Khola and trekking along its West Bank to the village of Naura, we climb for a short while. Traversing a grassy hill and climbing a steep slope with switch-backs, and wild forest camp stay overnight at lodge.

Day 09: Trek to Dobang (2250m) 7 hours

After breakfast trek to Bobang along the trail, Part of descending through rice terraced fields to little edge the forward to evergreen forest to reach Jyardan. Local village to pass descending and uphill usual Lapche Kharka and climb to Dobang, the trip is quite harder the before because where need to use rope. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 10: Trek to Italian Base Camp (3800m) 6 hour

After breakfast trek to Dobang, the trail ascending to wild forest area and crossing the wooden bridge and passing through beautiful evergreen jungle, well after crossing the myagdi khola to reach choriban khola which is sliding steam of chhonbarban Glacier and enter the part of right side. Massive view Tukuche peak (6920m.) and Dhaulagiri (8167m) dominate skyline to right on after a short while to reach Italian base camp (3660m) stay overnight at Tent.  

Day 11: Rest day Acclimatization

Explore and rest day for Acclimatization for our team and beautiful Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan ranges.

Day 12: Trek to “Midway Camp” (4500m) 7 hour

Today, we trek along the trail to the Midway Camp. This trail is a little tough, so probably we might need to use a rope in a couple of tricky spots. The surroundings here are spectacular, with magnificent views of the beautiful snow-capped peaks. .

Day 13: Trek to Classic Base Camp (5000m) 7 hour

After breakfast trek to Base camp which is harder climb steadily trough climbing with spectacular classic reviews’ from 5000m Dhaulagiri and others Himalaya. Stay overnight at tent.

Day 14: Rest day Acclimatization

Rest day and acclimatization for trekkers

Day 15: Trek across the French Col (5,100 m) to camp below Dhampus Pass (5200m) 6/7 hrs

After breakfast trek to dhampus pass which is most challenging pass compare to others trekking high passes. We climb two terraced hills before entering an ablation valley and then climb to the French col Elevation of (5100m) from where we can see tashi kang (6386m), sita Chuchura (6611m), Tukuch peak (6920m), Muktinath Himal (6328m) and many other trekking peaks. So after French col pass continue to Dhampus pass elevation of (5200m) stay overnight at tent.

Day 16: Trek across Dhampus Pass (5200m) to Alubari 7 hours

After the breakfast trek to Alubari. We traverse avalanche prone slopes after climbing (5200m) dhampus pass. Descend steeply to yak kharka and continue trail to Alubari stay overnight at tent.

Day 17: Trek to Marpha (2665m) 7 hour

After breakfast we will descend the dramatic kali gandaki gorge, which is most popular Annapurna circuit route and Jomsom muktinath Trek and tour route. We can see spectacular scenery of many village as Jharkot, Khingkar, Jomsom and many others villages. We follow the Kaligandaki river bank of the sparrow with local tropical villages and continue to marpha a delightful thakali villagewith a well planned drainage system visit to Marpha village and monastery. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 18: Marpha to Tatopani by jeep. (1100m) 4 hour drive.

After leaving marpha we drive to the Tatopani which is 4 hour far from marpha.   It is 1100m above from the sea level. There are little touristic area which is popular by hot spring, where we can observe the everyday lives of the local people and upon reaching Tatopani, we relax and have a bath in the hot spring.

Day 19:  Trek to Ghorepani (2800m 7 hrs)

After leaving Tatopani we continue to ghorepani which is massive huge uphill it’s take around 7/8 hours from tatopani to Ghorepani must pass 1700 m. part of ascending larges Magar Community Ghara, shikha, chitra and ghorepani which is situate 2874 m. (9429 ft.) junction of Annapurna Trekking Routes and stay overnight at lodge.

Day 20:  Trek to Pokhara 6 hours (827m.)

Early morning trek to Poon hill 45 menute from ghorepani, the Poon hill main view point of Annapurna Region trekking routes those who has short and long holidays. The situate of poon hill 3210m established by Major Poon, now all trekkers make enjoy with sun rise and sunset with Magnificent Himalayan scenery Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Annapurna IIII, Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Machapuchhre, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri and Many others trekking peaks. After poon hill we will return to Ghorepani take breakfast trek to Continue pokhara. Around 6/7 hours walks and 1 hour drive to reach pokhara stay overnight at hotel. 

Day 21: Pokhara to Kathmandu by Tourist Bus/ Car or flight

You can take a flight or drive by tourist bus/Private car to Kathmandu and at the evening have lunch on the way. And stay overnight in the Kathmandu.

Day 22: Final International Departure

We will drop you to the TIA for your final departure and happy journey your hometown, hope to see you again and good bye.
