I landed in Kathmandu Airport and met my guide Som who was waiting at the arrival hall holding a board with my name written on it.
SOM was so friendly and knowledgeable from day 1 right through our trip!
A person with deep interest and knowledge on this subject.
SOM’s priority was to take me on the ABC trek comfortably and ensure I did not encounter any problems during trekking and also to safely bring me back which he succeeded in doing.
I did not ask him but I am sure he has over 10-15 years of trekking experience. I know SOM has also taken guests to other trekking sites.
I felt extremely safe and comfortable trekking with SOM. He always provides the correct guidance after looking the situation. One example which comes to my mind is the option to stay in ABC (which is at 4130 mts) or at a lower altitude – MBC ( which is at 3700 mts). SOM knew from day-1 they I suffer from Asthama. Keeping this in mind, SOM advised me not to stay in ABC in the night will be more appropriate
His alternate solution was to stay in a lower altitude MBC as ABC is on a much higher altitude and weather is quite cold and there could also be issues with the Oxygen level at 4130 mts. The situation could be mins-predictable. If any health situation arises at night, it won’t be easy to address it at that condition.
I appreciate SOM’s honest and genuine advise and followed whatever he recommended.
SOM was also kind enough to take my pics and videos whenever I requested him to do so.
I found SOM to be very friendly, honest and most important sincere with his guests and his work.
I will recommend SOM as a guide to anyone planning a trek in Nepal.
Thank you once again SOM for your guidance, support and all the help which you have provided during the trek which has made this trip a most memorable experience. Review of SOM.

Rabin Gurung, the founder of the company, has been attentive to my queries since the day I enquired on their services. He is accommodating and swiftly responded to my questions. Pre, during, and post of the hike, he had been constantly checking on my well-being which I truly appreciate.
Subash Gurung, he is no ordinary guide. He’s like a brother to me. Protective, respectful, attentive and analyzing my strengths. He allows me to pace my walk but with a constant push along the way. His ever-cheerful and driven spirit made me feel homely and it felt like I’m trekking with a newfound brother. Subash is an asset to the company and I highly recommend his service if you are keen to sign up with Everest Trekking Routes Pte. Ltd company. He is truly a Godsend. If you are looking for someone who provides service from his heart, Subash is the guy for you!
Thank you Subash and Rabin for this phenomenal experience!

I found Everest Trekking Routes during an online research regarding trekking in Nepal. The website immediately caught my attention. It looks authentic and professional and the prices seemed fair.
Before booking any trip I was in email contact with the founder of the company called Robin. A very kind and helpful person who supported me in regard to gear to bring and the itinerary. He was very flexible in the itinerary so we adjusted it to my needs. He also helped me to find a very nice hotel in Pokhara and Kathmandu and even booked them for me for the best price.
The day before the trip started I met up with my guide Sukra in Pokhara to get to know each other. Right from that moment I liked him as a person. I could sense that he is an experienced trekker and guide. This turned out to be true during the trek. He knew teahouse owners, knew the trek and the peaks of all surrounding mountains. He is an incredibly fit and healthy guide. As he has three years of experience as a porter, he can carry very heavy gear if it is necessary. In addition, he prepared fresh fruits for me at least once a day. He took my food orders for every meal and always took very well care of me. I enjoyed talking about personal topics with him which was great.
I am not talking too much about the ABC trek because everybody will have a different experience. Sukra and I did it in the beginning of January of 2024. We had great weather, very few crowded treks, very kind teahouse hosts, and a very special and cold experience at ABC.
I can highly recommend the trek and Sukra as a guide. You will not be disappointed.
Best regards
Mark

This is my second trip with Rabin and I am already looking forward to a third trip with him soon. That shows how much I value his services, his extensive experiences with the treks, his honesty, and of course, the great supporting staff he have.
I feel safe and well taken care of with Rabin as my guide. He is a man with integrity and deal in a most honest way with us. This is unlike lots of horror stories you read about guides and tea-house owners collaborating to fleece hikers. We pay exactly what we consumed at the tea houses based on the published menu prices, no more and no less. With Rabin, there is no hidden cost.
With more than 20 years of trekking experience, he gave good advises on the route and safety measures to take. For example, he insisted that we started off early on a particular day so that we will reach a section with an ice sheet before the ice started to melt and traversing the ice-sheet becomes dangerous and difficult.
We have a large team of porters and assistant guides to take care of our team of 12 hikers and everyone on Rabin’s team have been extremely helpful and friendly. My teenage son enjoyed playing Uno and sliding down the ABC Trek icy slope with a teenage porter, a fellow hiker who has walking difficulties was supported all the way by assistant guides and porters and our meals were all ordered in advance so the group don’t have to wait long for food to be served.

If you feel it please skip to the last line. My name is Patibut Preeyawongsakul. I have been trekking since 2012. I do either individual trekking or going with a mountain guide. I was with Rabin on Annapurna Trekking in Dec 2015. Not only on the mountains but also roaming around in the city. I was with him for totally 15 days. By 4 years of my trekking around Asia (and a little hiking in the US), Rabin is the best mountain guide so far. Rabin knows how to take care of any kind of trekkers from slow ladies to teenagers. Luckily we didn’t need his first aid kit which he always carries it in his backpack. He’s expert in almost mountains’ information in Nepal (including sometimes Tibet). He can calculate the trip’s timing very precisely. We could change the itinerary on the way we walk without affecting flight schedule (we had one more day on the base camp last time.) Though, His skill still not matches his humbleness and hospitality. I had been seriously discussing with him for 6 months with nothing guarantee I’d go with him, but he happily helped me decide which route to take. He frankly showed the cost breakdown before we make a final decision. He welcomed us at the airport, and all of my team had his souvenirs on the day we flew back to our home country. If you want a short review, Hire this guy. 10/10 would go with him again.

We did ABC trek in 5 days, and 4 nights, for 400 USD per person. This includes all meals, lodging, a guide, a porter, etc. This is the best value package you can find. The guide and porter took good care of us and played cards with us every night. We can customize the trip also, like when to eat, when to start hiking, when to rest, etc. We can hike as much or as little as we want each day. This is the ultimate flexibility. Love it.

A group of us friends went on a trek with Rabin and his supporting staffs. The scenery was ever changing and we were wowed with many amazing views and experiences. Lots of photos taken even for a photo shy person like me. Advise to do stairs training (min 2 months) before attempting ABC trek to better enjoy the trekking experiences. Rabin took care of all logistic smoothly and showered us with lots of interesting information & histories along the way. All his supporting stuffs were always on hand to help when situations became challenging, be it personal or due to changing weather reasons. All of us felt so blessed and grateful to be accompanied by caring friends and Rabin’s team. We did EBC before and now we completed ABC. Will trek Nepal again & again (with Rabin of course)!!!

Had a great and memorable10-day trip to ABC, thanks to Rabin and his assistant guides and porters! The trip was well planned. Rabin and the guides are really caring and helpful. They even walked ahead, deposited the heavy bags and came back to shovel the snow/ice to enable us to walk safely. I’ll highly recommend Rabin and his team 🙂
I booked for porter-cum-guide for solo Annapurna Circuit trek with this company. Dhansingh and Rabin were very helpful in sorting out the itenary and arranging for permits and porter-cum-guide. I also made few last moment changes to the itenary and they were very kind to accommodate those changes. I was able to do both Annapurna Circuit trek with ABC in 13 days. They were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this company.

My name is Petch from Thailand. Me and my friends have been to Annapurna (4,130m) during Apr 2018.
For the long trekking, u need to prepare a lot. your heart and your body to get to the top However guide is also a really important key to help u reach ur goal. To help u prepare for the flight, stay, estimated walking distance, bag carry, and many many things behind the scenes and last until u arrive home safely.
During our trip, Rabin Garung did an excellent job as a guide. He is professional and well-experienced guide in Nepal. He and his team always give us great support when we need it.
If anyone wants to ABC or trekking in Nepal, I would really love to recommend this guy and his team
